The museum gugging is located in Maria Gugging, approximately 20 km northwest of Vienna, in the municipality of Klosterneuburg. Situated on a small hill, the museum is directly next to the Institute of Science and Technology, IST Austria.
Take the U4 subway to the final station "Wien-Heiligenstadt."
From "Wien-Heiligenstadt," continue with either
Bus 400 or
IST Austria Shuttle Bus (Line 142, Mon-Fri only)
in the direction of "Maria Gugging/Lourdesgrotte," and exit at the stop "Maria Gugging / IST Austria."
Follow the signs leading up the hill from there to museum gugging.
Tip: On weekdays, you can reach the museum in just 30 minutes with the IST Austria Shuttle Bus from Heiligenstadt. The fare for a one-way trip is € 2.40. For all holders of a public transport ticket (VOR, ÖBB, Klimaticket) a surcharge of € 0.20 is payable.

The municipality of Klosterneuburg is currently creating a new bicycle path to connect it with the Kierling valley , and this will also link the central areas of Klosterneuburg and Maria Gugging.

From Vienna: Take the B14 (expressway) towards Klosterneuburg. Continue through Klosterneuburg and then around 6 km further in the direction of Tulln, passing through Kierling to arrive in Maria Gugging. After the "Maria Gugging" sign, take the first exit to the right at the roundabout, and then immediately turn left to follow the sign to museum gugging on the hill.
The municipality of Klosterneuburg is currently carrying out roadwork on the B14, which may cause delays. You can find current traffic information here.

Take the L120 to St. Andre vor dem Hagenthale, and then take the first exit at the roundabout, towards Wiener Straße/B14. Continue to Maria Gugging, and then take the second exit at the roundabout. Then turn directly to the left to follow the signs on the hill to museum gugging.
