A summer full of creativity at museum gugging

Summer 2024 was a real highlight for museum gugging, as an incredible number of children from all over Lower Austria and even Vienna visited us. Our workshops offered the young participants a platform to live out their creative streak to the full, and with great success. 

Creative workshops as part of the Children's University of Art

In the first two weeks of July, we organized creative workshops as part of the Children's University of Art. The children painted mixed media pictures and formed sculptures from wire and plaster bandages. Another highlight was a visit from a dance teacher who rehearsed a choreography with a group of children. The production of animated films was also on the program, and despite the high temperatures, all participants had a lot of fun.

Successful ISTA summer camps

ISTA's popular summer camps started at the end of July. Three times a week, groups of children spend the camp week with us, not only exploring colors and materials, but also experimenting with them. The children confirmed that creativity not only plays an important role in art, but also in science.

The summer academy from Stift Klosterneuburg and museum gugging 

The traditional summer academy for Kids from Stift Klosterneuburg  and museum gugging was once again the crowning glory of the summer vacations this year. Together, the children discovered exciting secrets in the castle and became artistically creative in the museum. The final vernissage attracted many visitors from the region.

A look back at an eventful summer

In total, we welcomed almost 200 children to our museum. This summer was a real highlight for art education at museum gugging and shows how important and successful our programs are for the creative development of young people. We are already looking forward to next year and to welcoming so many enthusiastic children again.
